Hi! I'm Teddi Alaina, and thank you for visiting my website! I am a native Houstonian who originally set-out to become a physician during my undergraduate coursework. My path turned to Child Life, Administration & Family Collaboration, and I could not be happier!
When I am not working or studying, I enjoy cooking, volunteering, and traveling (16 countries and counting!). I am also in the middle of writing my first children's book.
I am inspired by my family. My father is a double transplant recipient, and I speak regularly for the LifeGift organization
on his behalf. My great-great Grandfather was also the first African American physician of Mississippi, and he is responsible for igniting my enthusiasm for the healthcare world!
Some fun facts about me are I appeared on an episode of House Hunters on HGTV and Say Yes to the Dress on TLC. I also appeared in a nationwide commercial for Verizon. My name, Teddi, was inspired by Glenn Close's character in Jagged Edge, named Teddy Barnes.
